Thank you for the comments on "vibe coding" which does seem suddenly everywhere. I'm a big believer in the value of actually understanding how code works, and if "engineering is the ability to solve problems using tools" .... then wouldn't using ChatGPT (a tool) to produce software and solve problems fit the definition of "software engineering"? We might make the argument that it's an unsafe way to do engineering, but that's a bit different, I think?
